Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, was the star of the show for Middlesbrough as they secured a 2-0 victory over Blackburn at Ewood Park on Friday.
Iheanacho, who scored his first goal for Middlesbrough last weekend in a 2-1 win over Oxford, was again in the starting lineup, and his performance didn’t disappoint.

In just the second minute, Iheanacho set up Tommy Conway for the opener. Then, just six minutes later, he assisted again, delivering a perfect pass for Samuel Iling Junior, who smashed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.
Though Iheanacho had a chance to add a third in the 15th minute, his shot went wide when he found himself face-to-face with the Blackburn goalkeeper. He got another opportunity before halftime but couldn’t convert after being played through on goal by Mark Travers.
Blackburn came out stronger in the second half but couldn’t find the back of the net. Iheanacho was subbed off in the 85th minute, but his two key assists had already sealed the win for Middlesbrough.
