Victor Osimhen’s Potential Move Sparks Controversy Over €75 Million Fee.

The potential transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray is causing a stir, particularly due to the reported €75 million (around N124.4 billion) price tag.

MHP Deputy Saffet Sancaklı has raised alarm, suggesting that such a hefty transfer fee could lead to financial struggles for the Turkish club, even warning it might push Galatasaray toward bankruptcy. He also noted that state sponsors are closely watching the club’s financial moves, urging caution.

In response to these concerns, sports commentator Serdar Ali Çelikler weighed in during an appearance on the Neo Spor YouTube channel.

While acknowledging the controversy, Çelikler expressed confidence that the Turkish government would not intervene in the deal, calling it unlikely for the state to oppose Galatasaray’s decision. He also praised Galatasaray’s management, especially President Dursun Özbek, for their smart and cautious approach to handling the situation carefully.

Çelikler suggested that Sancaklı’s comments might not just be a warning, but a signal aimed at specific parties, possibly shedding light on under-the-radar concerns.
